- Take Flight Farms is designated by the North
American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) as a “premier
center”—the
highest possible level of accreditation. It was one of the first
centers to field test NARHA’s Equine Facilitated Mental
Health standards.
- Take Flight Farms is an active member of the
Equine Facilitated Mental Health Association (EFMHA), a section
of NARHA dedicated to educating
others to work with the horse in the treatment of people with
emotional, behavioral, social, and mental health needs.
- Take Flight
Farms is a member of the Equine
Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA)
a non-profit organization developed to address the need for resources,
education, and professionalism in the field of Equine Assisted
Psychotherapy.
- Three of Take Flight Farms’ instructors
have earned NARHA Registered Instructor certification and nine have
completed EAGALA
Level I training.
One of these instructors has completed EAGALA Level II (Advanced)
training.
- The licensed clinical psychologist who facilitates
the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions is a NARHA Registered
Instructor and
has completed EAGALA Level I training.
