A unique aspect of Take Flight Farms is our dedication to developing methods to assess and record the effectiveness of our programs and disseminate the results. In partnership with our psychologist, we are working to develop a body of knowledge in the fields of equine assisted learning and psychotherapy.

Because our programs are custom-designed around the goals of each partnering agency, we are able to develop unique systems of evaluation that will help to strengthen our ability to meet these goals. Each group of clients, prior to the start of the program, provides a detailed explanation of the social skills that are being focused upon. These skills may be applied individually to each student or generally across all members of the student group. They are then incorporated into individual evaluation checklists that are completed at the end of each farm session by staff and volunteers of Take Flight Farms.
